Dulce De Leche, Snow Day, and other wonderful things

Complete the analogy:
Flipper is to seal as:

a.) tusk is to elephant
b.)gill is to fish
c.)wing is to bird
d.)fin is to penguin
e.)engine is to car

Okay that was the SSAT analogy for the day

Anyways,

Yesterday was a snow day and I got to make some Dulce De Leche (yum yum).

Dulce De Leche is a caramel sauce with a thick consistency, and goes great on crackers, and fruits.

I got an easy recipe at //www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/michelle-bernstein/dulce-de-leche-recipe/index.html

Ingredients
4 cups milk
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
Vanilla extract

Directions
Scald milk in heavy bottom sauce pan. Add all other ingredients, cook on medium low until it turns into caramel, about 1 hour.

Sincerely,
D

yes, it is very good (ah SSATs tomorrow!!)

Can you figure out today's?

Orange is to carrot as
a. pear is to onion
b. tomato is to cherry
c. potato is to peanut
d. pineapple is to pistachio
e. raisin is to fig

[I got this one wrong]

what does that have to do with school anyways?

we don't even have those type of questions on M.C.A.S

i dont know, its pointless [i hate analogies]

SSATs are very different from mcas (ERBs are more similar)

by the way, sorry about the "MCAS on your birthday" thing

Orange is to carrot as (a) pear is to onion?? Is an onion a veggie? I'm not even sure a figs and tomatoes are fruits. Uggghhhh. What in the world does any of this have to do with learning? Anywho, knock 'em dead!
